Welcome!
I’m (probably) a political scientist.
About Me
Hi! I’m a Ph.D. student in the Wilf Family Department of Politics at New York University.
My research focuses on political institutions, executive politics, inter-branch relations, and computational social science (broadly defined). My work engages with both American and Korean politics.
Methodologically, I’m trained in causal inference and quantitative methods, and I apply computational approaches such as text-as-data and multimodal analysis to better understand political institutions.
Before graduate school, I served as a Personnel and Administration Officer in the Republic of Korea Air Force.
I hold an M.A. and B.A. in Political Science from Yonsei University, Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Outside of academia, I’m a full-time dad to two(!) beautiful daughters, a part-time wine and coffee enthusiast, and an occasional code wanderer.
You can find my CV here.
